Hello Friends
I’m planning to upgrade my system and would appreciate some guidance on RAM and a CPU cooler.
The processor will be an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B850M-K
https://inventus.com.tr/mi_products/Prod...?PID=16429

Regarding RAM, I’m leaning towards the Lexar 6400 MHz 16x2: 32 GB option.
https://inventus.com.tr/mi_products/Prod...?PID=15798
The pricing and CAS latency are superior to similar models, and there are positive reviews on forums and YouTube. However, some users have mentioned stability concerns with RAM speeds above 6000 MHz, suggesting potential risks like underclocking. What are your opinions, and what experiences or data do you have? To prevent issues, I’ve looked into the G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB White Dual DDR5-6000Mhz 32GB (2x16GB)
https://inventus.com.tr/mi_products/Prod...?PID=16219

For air cooling, I’m trying to understand this better by watching YouTube reviews. What cooling solutions do you recommend for an AM5 socket processor? It’s crucial to find a balance between performance and noise, and I’m avoiding liquid cooling since I’ve had negative experiences with it before.

The budget options for the motherboard are limited. If I were you, I’d consider a board with improved VRM construction. The Prime line from Asus is entry-level, but Asus has struggled with quality while offering premium pricing. Regarding RAM, if you’re targeting DDR5-6000MHz or faster speeds (6400MHz/6600MHz) with low latency and dual-channel kits featuring AMD’s E.X.P.O branding, you’re set. For G.Skill, focus on their Neo series to align with AMD AM5 platforms; non-Neo models are intended for Intel systems. What model of case are you using? This would be ideal for pairing with the right cooler.

What advantages would a newer motherboard bring to me? I usually play games but don’t consider myself a dedicated gamer. I believed a B850 chipset would suffice for my needs.
My system is fairly old, but I’m confident it still works. The Enermax ECA3052-BS Chakra Mid Tower case looks suitable.

Improved power supply to the processor is recommended. My setup is quite old but it should still work. The Enermax ECA3052-BS Chakra Mid Tower seems suitable. The case should be updated as well unless you're comfortable with internal modifications. Modern components need efficient cooling in a chassis.

You label things as junk easily, huh? I buried a bunch of Asus stuff before you did this. The Enermax ECA3052-BS Chakra Mid Tower is a mid-level case with solid cooling. It has fan ports on both front and back sides plus a 250 mm fan on the side panel for airflow. I've been using it for nearly 15 years—it's not top-notch, but it works. Since I'm not a gamer who needs extreme performance, this one should be fine. Also, it shouldn't handle the 7800X3D or other heavy hardware well.

Hi everyone
I chose to bring up this subject because I thought it was important to share my experience. After thinking about the suggestions, here’s how my current PC looks...

Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M D3HP ($179)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d AM5 (tray-$360)
CPU Cooler: LIQMAX III ARGB Series 360mm Liquid CPU Cooler ($81)
RAM: Patriot 32GB (2x16) Viper Venom EXPO 6000mhz CL30 DDR5 (97 USD)
Case: ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 Mid Tower ($145)
PSU: Enermax Revolution D.F.X 1200W (137 USD)
SSD: A-Data Legend 800 (500 GB)
HDDs: Two mechanical drives (1 TB + 4 TB)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 10 GB from previous system

I added a 500 GB SSD, two extra mechanical HDDs, and the GPU to complete the build. I’m aware the graphics card might be the least powerful part, but it still meets my needs, so I decided to keep it for now.

Thanks for your advice.
Have a great day.
