I thought you already had an overclocked i9-9900KS and a 3080 running.
Your 5,120 x 1,440 resolution monitor is basically a 4K display.
I understand that.
My games aren’t fast-paced action titles, mostly involving civilization.
For those, my 3070 graphics card seems to perform well at 240Hz via HDMI.
Back when the 3070 wasn’t available, I used integrated graphics and didn’t notice much difference.
My main idea is that a 24GB 4090 RAM might not be essential.
Memory usage has become more of a marketing topic.
RAM is somewhat similar to actual RAM—you want enough to keep most of what you use in memory, avoiding the need to rely on external storage for speed.
Your processor is the bottleneck, and I’d address that first.
After that, it’ll help you better decide what’s needed for graphics.

Thank you all! Your insights and guidance helped me move forward despite my usual reluctance to take action. I really appreciate it. On the other hand, my budget is grateful for your support. Also, on the Gripping Hand, I won’t have to wait for parts and can start right away!
So, thank you all again!
