Heyo! I've played pretty much EVERY mmo to come to the (free and pay to play) gaming market. JUST CURIOUS: What MMO are you (currently) playing that you would recommend to others? ++Bonus points for underground mmo's that no one hears of in recommendations +Bonus points for open world mmo's My Recommendation: Anarchy Online - This game used to be bigger than WoW ever was. Before WoW got popular, this game dom'd the charts! It's rather aged, now.. but they keep releasing updates, it's incredible. HUGE open world Sci-Fi MMORPG (Sandbox). This game was my childhood and it is the iconic image of "what a mmo means to me" or "should be to me".

It's definitely fun, without a doubt. The NA version is however flawed.

I've explored many popular and lesser-known MMOs, but World of Warcraft remains my top choice by a wide margin.

I used to play the Chinese version. I remember when this game first launched, it was awesome! Not many mmo's these days with such flashy, glossy visuals. I enjoyed that game thoroughly. Some people complain about PvE, but it's not that bad. I just love flying around. For people who like flying around with martial arts I'd also recommend Age of Wushu, that game is pretty fun if you can find a good community!

Here, I'm exactly where I need to be. The TW version is expanding with every release.

I've spent a lot of time playing Final Fantasy 14. It's an excellent game, though I think the cosmetic choices are quite limited since the Squenix team has reduced shop options. I really like the housing areas and the dungeons/raids are intense! I'd suggest trying it out if you don't mind spending money each month. Buying gold is straightforward but can be expensive. It offers a solid mix of content for the monthly subscription and reasonable prices on expansions. You can also increase chocobos, and some mounts are pretty cool—just avoid underpopulated servers if you prefer PvE.
