Hello. My High Power 500 watt power supply offers two GPU power outputs, each with six pins. The RX 590 works fine when connected to a single 8-pin input. I’ve checked various options and found that some converters have melted. I’m unsure whether to use one converter for both 6 pins or a separate 6-to-8 pin converter along with the remaining pins. I also noticed these converters are damaged, so I need advice on how to use them properly and recommend suitable products based on quality and price.
Sapphire nitro plus .i cannot purchase new power supplies at the moment. Perhaps later. I now require a converter.
And risk possibly destroying both the power supply and display card?
Just hold off until you CAN afford to do it the right way. To do anything else puts you into a potentially deeper hole.
not sure about the research you conducted, but this one looks interesting.
it shows power consumption under 235w.
compares to other models with an 8-pin that use 175w.
for blu-ray use, an 8-pin setup might be sufficient.
