Recommend Me PC Games!
I recently moved from an iMac to a PC and am enjoying the freedom! I haven’t installed any games beyond my personal Steam collection, but I’m seeking recommendations. Old Specs: i5, DDR3 1600 (21.5 1080p) New Specs: i7-8700, GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB DDR4 (24" 144hz 1080p 1ms). My current titles include Fortnite, CS:GO, Rocket League, and Minecraft. I usually spend around $100 on new games, but I’m open to up to $150 if they’re worth it. I’m considering Overwatch and Forza Horizon 4.
Top modern FPS titles you can enjoy on that rig: DOOM 2016, Prey, Far Cry 5, Battlefield 1, Outlast 2, Dying Light, Bad Blood, Overwatch, Quake Champions. Many of these are available at great prices, especially through gray markets.
Epic Games offers a free-to-play Unreal Tournament tournament.
First, it's a good idea to save these resources for the best offers on PC titles and to avoid overspending. Let's begin with the top recommendations. https://isthereanydeal.com/ – this is your most reliable source for ongoing discounts. Free turquoise tabs are available, and you can track any game down to its lowest price. https://www.fanatical.com/ – formerly known as Bundle Stars, it still offers solid daily bargains. https://www.fanatical.com/en/latest-deals – check here for the newest promotions. https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle – current bundles are quite appealing. This platform stands out in 2018, except during Steam's summer discounts. https://www.humblebundle.com/store – another solid marketplace; the monthly subscription isn't worth it. The real value comes from free games earned after visiting regularly. $1 packs also make a difference. https://www.greenmangaming.com/ – a trusted source with occasional deals, though beware of misleading percentages. Use https://isthereanydeal.com/ to find past lows. https://www.gog.com/ – mainly for older titles; occasional gems appear, but not often. GOGalaxy is another option for accessing games. https://gamestore.razer.com/home.html – similar to Green Man Gaming, though less frequent. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/browse – once offered monthly giveaways; I bought BF1 and all DLC for just $5 last month. Avoid signing up for Origin or any other monthly service there. https://uplay.ubi.com/ – comparable to Origin or Steam, with occasional free games. Some titles are available via UPlay only. https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/ – another platform; I installed it for Diablo 3 and Overwatch. https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/home – needed for Fortnite. https://www.hirezstudios.com/ – useful for Paladins, Realm Royale, Smite, and more, all free. https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/ – essential for playing Diablo 3 and Overwatch. https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/ – required for accessing games like Overwatch. https://www.pointblank.com/ – great for Battleborn, Argo Atlas, and other titles. https://www.leagueoflegends.com/ – must-play games here. https://www.teamfortress.com/ – solid options for tactical play. https://www.warframe.com/ – excellent for Warframe and similar experiences. https://www.blurplebox.com/ – another great free-to-play platform. Keep an eye on these sites for ongoing promotions; historical lows are usually found there.
Check GOG.com for available free titles. Rainbow Six Siege is highly recommended—it's really enjoyable. If you enjoy surfing and FPS, Titanfall 2 is worth trying; I’ve played it three times because it’s so impressive. Multiplayer features are also great. Don’t miss Half-Life 2 for a unique reason—there’s a Steam summer sale going on. The winter sale runs around Christmas and continues into the new year. Both seasons offer similar excitement. Explore various games to discover new experiences. Arma 3 offers a military simulation experience, with clan recruitment posts available online. Modding via Steam Workshop is straightforward; just click a button for instant downloads. World of Warcraft remains free up to level 20. Overwatch falls under real-time strategy and “4X” genres. Dawn of War Dark Crusade is my top RTS choice. You can purchase all four original Dawn of War expansions at discounted prices during sales. Soulstorm works best with the Apocalypse mod; otherwise, the campaign feels lacking. I keep a PC games list in my signature—though it’s not fully updated, it contains many titles. The alphabetical format lists the most games. Brief descriptions of gameplay are included.
What I understand about Outlast 2 is that it received less positive reception compared to its predecessor.
These titles offer a wide range of experiences, and I don't really enjoy horror or fast-paced shooters with rapid fire weapons like assault rifles or sniper rifles. I prefer games with quicker action and less emphasis on long battles. While COD and Battlefield aren't my favorites because they can feel slow at times, I've enjoyed Quake Champions, Overwatch, Titan Fall 2, Doom 2016, and Rainbow Six Siege. I'm also interested in non-shooting games; thanks for the suggestions so far! Any recommendations?
Goodbye, mobile gamers. Here are some game picks: Civilization, Undertale, Thief, Dark Messiah, Shadow of Mordor, Ghost of a Tale, and Dark Souls.
