I found an indie title called Ironsight that's currently open beta. It seems to be a free-to-play CoD from the Black Ops era. I managed to try one match so far, but it looks like a solid shooter.

Other CoD games I enjoy:
Destiny 2 – available for free, though you can find it on gray markets for $15, with some fun multiplayer.
Warface – a P2W F2P CoD experience, but the P2W mode only activates after you progress in ranks, allowing you to play with non-P2W accounts again.
