I was considering purchasing this mesh setup from Acer Wave 7 Wifi 7 Mesh System 3 Node. It should cover my hole house and even reach the garden. During this upgrade, I plan to switch my BT hub to a third-party model. Since I’m not using Wi-Fi on the router, does it really matter whether it’s tri-band or not? My goal is for all Wi-Fi traffic to pass through the Acer Wave 7 Wifi 7 Mesh System.

This depends on several details like house size, construction, router placement, settings, and nearby Wi-Fi or RF sources. Without more info, the safest guess is "it should probably be fine."

Your app shows only a few devices, and since you're using a BT hub, it seems the router doesn't require updates.

You don't require wi-fi 7 or wi-fi 6. Most users are happy with the wireless options from 2014, delivering 75-100 megabytes per second (or gigabit speeds). Do you have a gigabit connection that often gets saturated? Switching to Ethernet would likely resolve these speed problems. It seems the issue is more about coverage or signal strength rather than a technical limitation. Consider a wireless mesh system instead of a wired one for better performance and lower cost.
