Could a line-interactive UPS address issues similar to yours?
The issue is unclear to most people. Line interactive UPS can slightly boost voltage. If there’s a brownout, voltage might fall from normal to around 105 volts instead of staying near 120. This device can’t handle drops to 90 volts. More complicated problems, like frequency changes or harmonic distortion, also can’t be resolved by a cheaper unit. These situations differ from North American standards, where voltages are typically 240 volts and frequencies at 50 Hz. Unless an electrician clarifies the exact problem, I suggest using a killawatt to monitor power output and observe voltage/frequency changes. This helps gauge usage and detect variations. I personally use a killawatt to fine-tune generator output.

Theoretically, they might incorporate filters to block specific unwanted signals. For instance, powerline network adapters deliberately generate interference. Even though a power strip can filter this, the impact on other devices remains uncertain. Modern power supplies already contain extensive filtering during the conversion from AC to DC. Most of these "garbage" signals simply don’t reach the PC power supply and have minimal effect. A motor in a refrigerator might introduce some noise, but the real issue lies in the power drop at startup, which is more problematic. Inadequate power strips cannot resolve this concern. The core issue here is the misleading information from marketing. They often present complex data that lacks practical relevance, similar to claims made by audio professionals. There are numerous instances of clear fraud in such equipment.
I thought the same. I talked to an electrician today, who said I probably have a low voltage problem, which is causing all these issues with my electronics and especially my PC. It’s strange too—my lights sometimes flicker, which isn’t normal. I plan to buy a device similar to what you suggested and check it when I return from work next week.
