Hey everyone, I'm facing an issue with my MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Ryzen 5 2600 G setup. I have SKILL Ripjaws V 2400 with 2x4GB RAM (purchased in 2016). The BIOS says 8192MB is usable, but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I've adjusted the speed to 2133MHz and CL to 17, but it still doesn't respond. I also ran msconfig, set up a page file, and even reinstalled the OS after a crash, yet my RAM model matches. What should I do next?
I explain the process clearly.
Let me know if you need further details.
I recently changed my CPU and motherboard from the i3 6100 MSI B150 PRO-VDH to this setup. This occurred before I moved the RAM. I also have a screenshot of the BIOS indicating that 4x4GB modules are being detected, but they haven’t been updated.
Check your iGPU VRAM configuration and set it to 0MB. Avoid assigning memory to the iGPU since it will consume whatever is required. The BIOS often handles this behavior, but you have control.
