Recently installed system abruptly stops working during gameplay?
Hello everyone!
In December 2023, I set up a new PC:
Motherboard: Maxsun Terminator B760ITX D4 WIFI
Processor: Intel Core i5 Alder Lake
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR4 2x16GB
Case with Power Supply: NZXT H1 650W
SSD: Kingston Fury Renegade SFYRSK/1000G
GPU: RTX 3060
Initially everything functioned well, but... occasionally, during gameplay the computer would freeze completely (IO disabled), and the only fix was to restart (pressing the power button). If sound was playing in the game at that time, it would freeze as well, looping sounds like "a" turning into endless "aaa" and so on, while the screen would also freeze. I've been playing without this problem for about a week or more, but now it's happening multiple times a day.
There don't seem to be clear patterns or causes for these freezes; it happens unpredictably, and the event viewer shows no errors, only indicating that the system was shut down improperly (Kernel 41).
This crash occurs quite frequently in PUBG (about once every 1.5 hours over the past week), but other games like CS2/Tarkov also experience it. I can play Tarkov for six hours straight without any crashes, yet sometimes I encounter two crashes per hour.
The GPU rarely exceeds 70% usage (it's usually around 50%), and the CPU stays near 40%.
The CPU isn't overclocked, and RAM doesn't support XMP profiles.
I performed several tests and everything appeared normal:
Windows Memory Diagnostics
CPU and GPU stress-test
Victoria SSD check
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth + sfc /scannow
And of course, chatGPT recommendations.
I checked every power plan plus the custom one. All drivers are current.
