I assembled a custom PC with a built-in graphics card from my previous build. The Gigabyte RX 4070 was intended for the new setup. Connecting the HDMI to the motherboard works perfectly. After installing the GPU, the system boots up but the screen remains blank. I tried re-seating the GPU multiple times and it worked once, yet the problem persisted afterward. The GPU itself seems fine. Could the issue lie with the PCIe slot? I also reset the BIOS via the pins without any effect.

Are you connecting the monitor directly to the GPU or still using the motherboard's HDMI port? Otherwise, it’s often about determining the correct output setting during the initial startup.

For the 4070, test connecting the HDMI once more. Some boards come with the built-in port by default. Try starting in BIOS without the GPU. Turn off the built-in feature, then add the GPU and check functionality.

What is odd is that when i have the gpu inserted, the onboard does not work as well. I have to remove the the gpu for it to work. I have sent the pc to the company but will forward your message to them to try it. This is a small company, would appreciate any tips. Thanks.

The PC was returned using two distinct GPUs, which functioned properly. It seems the original GPU might not be compatible with the motherboard, requiring a replacement.
