What would happen if during a bios update i.e. flashing bios on a LAPTOP ( battery charged to about 50% and connected to an AC adapter ) there is a power cut. Will this corrupt the bios or will it be updated without any problem. Asking just out of curiosity Sorry if posted under wrong category

Varies by brand and model. I noticed some HP laptops include a recovery BIOS partition that can start if the main BIOS fails. However, with just one BIOS and no recovery option, it might be nonfunctional. I experienced this with an MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic where I pressed the restart button instead of the RGB button on a case (Thermaltake View 28). I quickly replaced it since the store couldn't get it working and I only had it for a day.
