You're seeing the BIOS version as F42C, but the site shows a different list. Since you're unsure whether the update is necessary, check your current model's specifications to see what's supported. You can also contact Gigabyte support for guidance on which BIOS version fits your setup.

They might have removed it if another version replaced it. Still, I'm not sure about the mix-up. The list is sorted by newest first, so go with the top entry. You don't need to go through each one individually unless you want to. Just load the latest one.

others claim it requires the previous version before applying the BIOS upgrade. Since I’m unsure if my BIOS matches the list, I don’t know which one to install first. Likely, I might skip the step just in case I damage my motherboard, especially if I need those security updates for the newest BIOS release.

You're referring to obtaining your BIOS information from your system settings. The details you provided suggest you're looking into how to access and verify your BIOS version on a computer. It's important to note that BIOS data is typically stored within the motherboard or system firmware, and accessing it may require specific tools or manufacturer support. If you're using an Aorus motherboard, ensure compatibility with your operating system and follow official documentation for proper setup.

I also got it from there, plus the bios update tool mentions F42C.
