This indicates that STEAM is no longer available, along with some preferred older tools like Adobe Photoshop on Windows 10 and 8. They are implementing changes to boost sales through the Microsoft Store. I've observed this shift, as PC game developers may now need to publish their titles on GOG or the Microsoft Store. You can find more details on sites such as https://www.pcgamesn.com/microsoft/micro...win32-apps. Many articles discuss this topic.

Currently, this function is turned off by default. Users can choose to show only the warning message or completely prevent installing Win32 applications. It’s not a strict block; it’s about steering clear of its use.

It’s an opt-in option. Programs that functioned before the update will continue to work afterward. This is just another layer of protection to prevent kids and staff from installing potentially harmful software from the web.

They wouldn’t risk making it compulsory. A distinct SKU exists for this mandatory release called 'Windows 10 Cloud,' expected soon. Intended for budget tablets and similar devices, it suggests Windows RT 2.0.

Unworthy guesswork. The chance of this occurring is much lower than Intel altering its name to "Dumbasses Inc." Beyond enterprise systems, Win32 remains the main factor keeping Windows relevant. If Microsoft were to drop that component, many power users would revert to 7 or switch to Linux, while others might adopt OSX or 7 through trusted recommendations from knowledgeable users. None of these alternatives would generate revenue for Microsoft.
