EXPO certification suggests AMD would need to approve these parts, but they’re not listed on the QVL, making success unlikely. The 7200MHz speed feels too high for the 7950X, and pairing it with a $1,200 board while expecting top RAM performance seems like a poor use of funds.

I see several Intel XMP memory options available for your X670E board. The AMD EXPO listings don’t match the standard kit numbers; instead of a C at the end, they use Z for AMD and C for Intel. It seems the performance you need is quite high for the 7950X. Would you like advice on suitable speeds from Corsair? I’ve found a 5200 MHz AMD Expo that fits your Vengeance lineup nicely. Another option is a 6000 MHz AMD EXPO Dominator model. For the 7950X 2x1R DDR5-5200 configuration, the maximum speeds are around 5200–5400 MHz depending on the CPU. Reaching 7200 MHz would be exceptional—would you consider chasing that with a custom solution or higher-end chips?

It's really confusing. My setup uses the 7950 on an Asus x670e-e, with DOCP 1 configured and the motherboard only showing the 6000 option. I'm fine with that. Since this board is costly, it seems they might be past due for a BIOS update. They should definitely get tested soon.

The settings are configured at 6000 MHz with auto mode enabled. DOCP is exclusive to ASUS boards. I wouldn’t know the same specs for MSI models. Your motherboard supports speeds above 6000 MHz, but the issue might lie in RAM, CPU, or both. It’s confusing whether it works for others or not. Are you adding extra power through the board? It has six PCIe ports, though I didn’t enable them since I thought they weren’t necessary.

6000MHz is ideal for the Ryzen 7000 series, so begin there. Explore options from the QVL list and here’s a suitable pick that fits this motherboard: Link to QVL list here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-X670...upport#mem G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000) Desktop Memory Model F5-6000J4040F16GX2-TZ5RK - Newegg.com
