Thanks for your feedback and ideas. I'm currently using Sky, but honestly it's not great. During good days I get around 7-8 Mbps, but this morning it dropped to just 0.4 Mbps. After checking with Openreach, I found two other providers—pulse8 and Your Co-op—that seem to offer solid speeds in the 40-70 Mbps range at similar costs. I’m not very familiar with them, but I’d love to know if anyone has experience with them.

Slow connections are often caused by an issue on your line, not just your internet service provider. I’d recommend having Sky check it out.

I checked my Sky connection online and it’s now steady at around 7-8 down with a slight uptick. That 0.4 drop was definitely another issue. Even though I’m still in the 14-day waiting period, I’m curious about testing Pulse8 because they claim fiber broadband to the cabinet and advertise speeds up to 78/20 for the same cost.
