Hello, I recently built a new computer with a Ryzen 9 7900X, 32GB DDR5 RAM, an 850W PSU, a 3090 GPU, and an H150i CAPELLIX AI. During a long render session, Blender encountered "illegal address" and CUDA errors, and my screen displayed green artifacts. Games also showed similar issues. After restarting and performing a clean driver reinstall (this time using Studio), the problem continued. Others suggested the 3090 might have VRAM problems, possibly because it’s a refurbished GPU from Amazon. I’m curious what you all think is the cause, and whether returning it for a replacement would be the best option. Images below show the artifacts in games, especially Fortnite, with other titles also affected.

It's unclear whether the visuals are connected to hardware or GPU components. Would you prefer a more vibrant version with richer colors?

It varies by game; some resemble the example you displayed, while others look similar to the ones in the images, but they move extremely quickly.

It seems there might be a VRAM problem, likely caused by overheating. Would you like me to replace the card?

I would suggest improving the documentation of the problem.

I've sent back the card and it's being replaced. The GPU didn't exceed 70/80°C.

I'm returning it and getting a replacement, I the one I returned was a refurbished 3090 by zotac, and they have a 90-day return or replacement policy through amazon so I just took advantage of that.
