Over the past two weeks, especially last week, this failover router has been extremely problematic to configure. It appears to switch to the backup internet whenever the main connection drops. On one occasion, it did this at least 18 times. The interface and admin panel indicate the primary internet is active, yet the DYNDNS remains updated but always points to the old or failed backup IP. There have been no network modifications—no changes in hardware, settings, or additions. It seems the manufacturer isn’t very knowledgeable about their own products. During our two-hour discussion (to explain to them), they suggested monitoring the connection for 24 hours, which it did. Suddenly, it failed right in front of us. This never typically happens with these devices, yet they still asked us to wait a full day. What should I do now? My main WAN works fine, but I have no clue why it switches to backup and then back to primary—especially since DYNDNS doesn’t update even though it claims updates were made.
