Hello everyone, I've noticed that after updating my BIOS, the system becomes unstable. I'm reverting back to the original BIOS provided with the motherboard, which seems more reliable. I have DDR4 3600MHz CL 18 RAM, 8GB per stick, totaling 32GB. My concern is whether using four sticks causes instability or if the BIOS firmware has issues. Anyone with an MSI motherboard has similar problems? Also, does the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X on MSI MPG X570S fit into this scenario? Someone with a Noctua NH-D15 and AMI BIOS version 7D53v15 can share their experience around March 21, 2023.
In my opinion, avoid updating your UEFI/BIOS unless it leads to problems and the maker advises you to do so for troubleshooting. Perhaps this is reflecting a server or sysadmin mindset—Supermicro agrees with that.
