Recent issues in PC gaming – Just Cause 3 update is awful
TotalBicuit received a solid port with feedback about 2,980 frames per second only. It seems there’s no slit or crossfire function currently, and FPS could be capped at the display rate. In the video, I didn’t notice any FPS drops, but there were some popping effects and transparency issues.
I saw some PC videos and I must admit, the graphics are really poor. Fallout4 seems to look much better, don’t you think?
It's quite an unusual creature. It runs well overall, but it's heavily built with a lot of glitches. That means the actual experience is solid and fluid, though once you dive into the menus things start to break down.
It's odd that TB said it was a solid PC port—possibly on NVIDIA, though the AMD side isn't doing too well. I don’t own the most powerful system, but I can’t maintain steady 60fps. Plus, the sound quality is poor for me. I agree with that. The graphics seem great to me. Everyone’s different, probably.
Yeah, it was a bit let down starting with the Just Cause title. But later it turned out another branch was handling the game. This mainly impacts mid-range non-Maxwell cards. AMD also faced its own problems before the update was released. Generally, people have smoother frame rates using top-end GPUs, especially the 980 Ti. Also worth noting is that changing shadows from High to Highest can significantly lower FPS. Check out this thread on NeoGaf for more details and performance stats.
I achieve over 80 frames per second even on a 980Ti processor without any issues.
It didn’t match the high quality in nearly all cases. The image appears quite poor, mainly due to significant blur and shallow depth of field.
