i'm experiencing issues with my z690 motherboard using DDR5. there are three lines of text appearing that indicate a failure, and the system shuts down 2-3 times before starting normally. i'm running windows 11 with xmp enabled and default bios settings. more details can be found below regarding rbl2 boot problems and mac reset failures. atlanticfwinit -> 0x7
For BIOS troubles, re-flashing the BIOS from USB is the typical solution. You can reset the CMOS to restore it to default. There are several methods for this, such as using a metal object to short the CMOS jumpers—often a screwdriver works well.
You recently attempted to upgrade to the latest BIOS and App Centre versions, but the update was skipped at 0%, leaving you unsure about the next steps.
I updated my bios to F24a and there are no more problems now. Previously, the system would shut down if the monitor entered standby mode upon startup. Thank you for your help, but it seems the issue was mainly related to the slow performance of the BIOS updates.
