Receiving numerous alerts PCI Express Root Port ID 17
I'm sorry for the poor spelling earlier. Over the past week or so, I've been experiencing blue screen issues, about once a day. I checked for reasons behind the critical structure corruption message and updated my drivers and Windows, but nothing resolved it. I'm still receiving warnings every hour in the Event Viewer under Advanced Error Reporting. The GPU is an ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 ROG Strix OC, paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor on an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard. I'm reaching out for help, as I'm not very experienced with this stuff. Thank you for the kind words—I really appreciate it, even though I provided limited information.
I confirmed it works with 2 and ran some tests through various windows configurations. Everything seemed fine, though I think I’ll go ahead and adjust them anyway. It’s going to be a bit tricky because I need to take out the CPU fan to reach them.
Check if the PCIe slot is configured for 3.0 or 4.0. It appears problems occur with 4.0, so try switching it to 3.0.
Keep your bios current, though it might be a hardware issue rather than a software one. Update it while you're at it, and you might not realize it could resolve the problem.
i just heard it can be a little scary to uppgrade to a new version, but now a new problem to download the new bios on asus page, it comes out as an image lol ........
