I woke up this morning, logged into my computer, and chatted with friends. Then I started seeing lots of installers pop up, so I opened MalwareBytes in safe mode—no downloads, just scanning. After the scan finished, I quarantined the threats and restarted the system. It worked for a while, but soon I kept getting those installer popups again. It feels like Twitter is all over the place, and I had to change my password three times in under a month.

Twitter keeps you safe from viruses. Evidence from over 30,000 tweets confirms this.

It seems like only a handful or none of these are real virus detections. Most are just random junk, keyloggers, trojans, and other harmless but bothersome items. Be careful with popups—remove any unknown browser extensions and review the software you’ve installed recently. Some bloatware might have slipped through during a visual scan.
