Yes. But when you compare beta maps betwen BF3, BF4 and BFHL. Its the worst beta maps yet. Ok, Metro wasn't great but I got into Caspian during BF3 beta and that is one of best newer maps (after BF2). The one more thing is that I've seen what quality BF4 maps and DLC maps are (BF3 worst was End Game, BF4 China Rising). They aren't really so good quality, innovative or big. All are just bit wider pipes or bowls with all flags within quick running distance or even rifle distance. Hardline ofc won't be needing big maps due to its style. But if beta map is easily capped in baserape situation, that isn't really good choise to advertise map design.
It's clear the outcome isn't favorable. Others claimed the final version was rushed, which contributed to its flaws. They release a beta for testing, hoping feedback will guide further improvements. However, satisfaction remains low.
It would be better to have them improve the game first rather than releasing another failed launch only to spend more later. Or, instead, release Hardline as a $30–$45 DLC for BF4 and avoid the costs of fixing it months later.
I understand the game should have more time to develop, even just to distance itself from BF4 references. I don’t want it ending up with repetitive yearly cycles where all the code is reused, forcing players to pay for new stories and maps instead of getting a DLC.
