Copilot was added to my machine during a Windows update, but I removed it because I didn’t want it installed. I’m confused about the full Copilot+ certification since they keep updating what counts as certified. In reality, my 13700KF might struggle with the recall feature without severely affecting performance, as recalls are meant for specific network processors. That’s another reason I prefer keeping it off.

The information you provided isn't supported by any articles. It seems you're expressing frustration about something that doesn't appear to exist.

Regarding your point about Copilot+, it's mainly relevant for newer laptops with specialized hardware. If you don't have such a device, it's not a concern at this time.

You can review the 24H2 known issues page to determine if your PC might be impacted. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...ws-11-24h2 There were also some problems with DRAM-less SSDs, particularly certain Western Digital models. It’s a good idea to check for firmware updates first. Bitlocker is installed even in Home editions, but it gets turned off during the 24H2 update if it was previously disabled. New setups have Bitlocker enabled by default, though you can disable it using Rufus or similar tools.

I checked my co-pilot app, which uses just 16KB. To access it, your Windows account must be signed in; otherwise, there’s no issue.

I doubt Microsoft will keep your data hidden while running it quietly. They might use it for training AI models or selling it. A skilled hacker could easily get access to everything you’ve seen, worked on, or the confidential information you entered online.

Check the system needs for Recall here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...b8ac48701c. A CPU without NPU support, like newer Intel Core Ultra chips, won’t work on your machine. Recall won’t be available for that setup.

It seems my laptop came with 23h2 and encryption was already enabled. I started by decrypting it, but once I tried to turn it back on again, 24h2 didn’t react. A few days ago I noticed a "copilot" icon in the taskbar, though I’m not sure how to remove it—I think it might be stuck. I removed the icon, but now I can’t locate it anymore. Performance has actually declined, which isn’t ideal.

That's common with laptops. Yes, you're right. It's just a natural reaction. (It doesn't usually cause any issues...) This is often referred to as jumping to conclusions in an absurdly logical way.

It's strange I was really disconnected... Install times seem to be slowing down on Windows.

As mentioned before, I’m not sure what’s happening there, but your weird “issues” seem connected to you. No harm intended, just a puzzling situation.
