I've attempted to shut down the PSU, removed the CMOS battery and reinserted it, but couldn't get the power button to work. I'm curious—does holding the power button even make a difference if the PSU is off? The PC wouldn't receive power, so it wouldn't recognize the button action.

The device retains power even when turned off, making it risky to handle. While I can't confirm the science behind it, I've heard people press the power button repeatedly, and they do so. It might not be safe, but you probably don't have much to risk.

It discharges the charge, though certainty isn't guaranteed. It varies based on the motherboard/PSU setup. It's advised to proceed cautiously but not completely avoid it.

You either remove the battery for 30 seconds or start the device without it connected.

It's a tailored setup featuring an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, a GTX 950 graphics card, and a Corsair CX 430 PSU.

I just wanted to confirm, right? I thought maybe changing the CPU in a certain prebuilt setup could cause compatibility issues.
