Recall of BIOS settings Past experience with BIOS configuration
I checked the details for your i5 10400 and found that having a BIOS flashback feature on the motherboard isn't essential unless you plan to use specific firmware updates. It depends on your needs and the system requirements.
It gained attention recently on the AMD front because the latest CPUs didn’t work with the motherboards we were purchasing, which really helped many users. On the Intel side, upgrading motherboards often feels less urgent, but it’s nice when BIOS issues pop up. Personally, I didn’t pay much mind until I updated my B550 board for the Ryzen 5000.
You only need it when your CPU isn't compatible with the motherboard's BIOS version. As discussed earlier, it works better in AMD setups where you're more likely to purchase a newer CPU that may not have fully updated motherboards available. For Intel systems, it's probably less relevant.
