I noticed my memory performance was significantly reduced. I have a Ryzen 7 2700x, an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max motherboard, and a Corsair vengeance LPX 16gb kit using dual channel. I tested each stick separately to check for issues, but they functioned normally on their own in A2 and B2 slots. After adjusting the placement, I observed better stability, though crashes persisted during demanding games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which blue-screened twice. I updated the BIOS but the problem continued. Eventually, I returned the sticks to their original slots. The latest BIOS update didn't resolve the issue.

The signs you're experiencing point strongly toward a faulty DIMM module. Check each stick separately to identify the one causing issues.

Alternatively, you might try memtest86. The allocated memory could belong to the BIOS, reserving it for the iGPU to utilize as VRAM.

Ensure thorough testing with Memtest 86+ to verify stability. Based on the audio cues, at least one component appears slightly unstable.

I assumed the item wouldn’t fail because I tested inserting a stick into A1 and B1 without issues…until it did. It was reading all 16GB, but only 580MB came from the hardware reserve.

I assumed a single stick would work without issues, but it failed after detecting all 16GB. The system reported only 580MB as hardware reserve, and after running MemTest, it indicated most RAM was allocated for boot services or boot data.
