Rebuild Decision in Linux Gaming Context
I installed the XIII remake on GoG using Lutris, which added a wine prefix and installed wine-ge. Now it sometimes picks a lower resolution than the highest available, like 1366 x 768, even though my monitor is 1440 x 900. This only happens on plasma displays. Switching to gnome (standard) makes the highest resolution 1440 x 851, which is nice but limits me to that environment. Changing the wine version settings helps with menus and screens, but the game still renders at a lower resolution. This is the only instance I've noticed. Anyone know what might be causing this issue?
Typically the internal resolution stays at 720p or 1080p. To boost it, you'll need a third-party mod such as Gedosato.
It seems a patch improved wide-screen compatibility, but the problem remains unclear.
