Reason for EA ban unclear
Hello everyone, I wanted to talk about a situation I went through with EA. I haven’t used it much, but everything changed in August 2023 when I got banned from my account without any explanation. I tried appealing, and they quickly reversed the ban. After that, I kept using other games and didn’t really engage with EA. In September of the same year, they banned me again without any reason. I kept appealing, but each time I was told I might have broken the rules. Recently, I even reached out to EA’s support team for answers, but I didn’t get any response. Now, months later, I’m confused—why can’t I access their services anymore? Am I being unfairly banned? I’m not sure if this is normal or if there’s something wrong with my account.
Account completely suspended—see the EA support page for details. This is exactly what it displays: I understand nothing can be done, just wanted to let you know. Edited March 13, 2024 by TriangleWasTaken
It's been a pattern of being ranked among the worst companies, with multiple bans over the past five years. I haven't played any EA game in about three years yet, but I've still received several bans. Each time it seemed like my account was being flagged for unusual activity, so they opted to ban rather than lock it. Since Titanfall 2, I haven't played any EA titles at all. It's likely I was caught for evading subscription fees or something similar for users using GamePass. I canceled my GamePass after the free trial ended, yet EA access remained active. Clearly, this was interpreted as chargeback fraud.
It was HP, then EA, and then Windy... I enjoyed the Windy menu a lot... Oh well...
That's worth noting. I've tried two gamepass trials and used EA access without getting banned, but it seems to vary by platform. I was only on PC, not a console, and used the Xbox app. It's possible that canceling early could lead to full enrollment, but without a linked credit card it might not work, possibly triggering payment issues. It's all speculation about EA's reliability.
