I've refreshed the drivers, and the MSI B350M Bazooka now indicates it supports 1000Mbps.

Yes, it's with a new cable. There may be a switch between the computer and the router/modem. The length of the cable depends on your setup.

I've tested various cables, including Cat5e and Cat6, each about 10 feet long. The Ethernet is plugged straight into the router and the computer.

Change the port on the router. Reset it to factory defaults. Create a bootable Linux USB and test the connection speeds. Verify BIOS settings. If issues persist, examine the Ethernet port on your motherboard and switch to a PCI-E/USB option. A few more tests may be needed.

I've tested all ports, refreshed the BIOS, and the router arrived just two days ago. It seems a new motherboard might be necessary soon.

Check if the router supports Energy Efficient Ethernet or similar power-saving features. If available, there may be a setting to turn it off to prevent problems.

Connected straight from PC to router or using wall plugs? Refer to Realtek drivers for details. Trying another card means it must be a cable. Updating the driver should refresh all network settings such as duplex and auto negotiation.

What type of Ethernet adapter are you considering? If it shares the same chipset as your built-in device, it might be experiencing the same issue. That’s why many people opt for Intel models since they’re generally more dependable.
