after assembling the computer, i chose to add a random speaker for the 7.1 channel output. once connected, i opened a media player on windows and pressed play. at first, there was no sound detected. i looked up alc1150 and found the issue. realtek decided to switch to 7.1 CH HD Audio with content protection. later, i discovered something in the clean registry file of surroundblock, which indicated the driver was blocking it. i wanted to share this because realtek’s content protection isn’t ideal, and we need to let realtek know. it’s not cool because people can’t fully enjoy the 7.1 surround sound.

They added DRM protection to the sound card drivers? That's a question.
