Hello, in our role we use a specific tool. I installed what I thought was an update, but it was actually a demo of the software we’re working with. You receive this program when you contact them or something similar. Unfortunately, no one is responding via phone or email, so I need to reinstall it myself. Since I’m an administrator, could you assist quickly? Thank you!

Contact IT to arrange installation. It’s unlikely they’d let you down for reaching out—after all, that’s what IT is meant for.

You won't be at risk of losing your position, no matter what it involves. The sole potential loss could be your tendency to say "thinked."

I didn’t grasp your point. I’m an IT expert; I’m here to set up the software.

An office might use demo programs to test new software before full implementation, ensuring it meets their needs and works smoothly.

You're just starting out in the IT team or working with a fresh project, and that's perfectly fine. They won't let you down for asking about the installer location.

Discuss your responsibilities with your manager; they oversee your work at the end of the day.

You're handling everything possible since the installer isn't available or responding.

It seems unclear, but the goal is to clarify why an IT team needs specific installation instructions. The software in question isn’t identified, and details about the first installation process are missing.

They simply provide the link. That’s it. I accidentally clicked the wrong button, so I installed a demo instead of an update. The update needs to be installed via the program, not just the demo version.
