Really weird issue with my PC...
I recently faced an unusual issue with my computer that I hadn’t encountered before. A couple of days ago, during a regular restart, it shut down completely and then restarted in safe mode. After that, I tried to boot normally again, but the problem persisted. Now I notice certain applications won’t launch at all—sometimes showing an error like “This App can't run on your PC”—while others, such as Photoshop and Blender, work perfectly. Some parts of Windows behave oddly too; for example, the uninstall menu in Control Panel stops responding when clicked. I suspect only specific programs are affected, and even those that can’t be removed remain installed. Additionally, a strange message about Armoury Crate appears each time I restart my system. I’ve confirmed I’m not in safe mode, and Safe Boot is enabled. Anyone have any insights into what might be happening? I’m using Windows 11.
initial scan for malware could lead to blue screen issues later. next, verify if your Windows is properly activated—Windows 11 sometimes causes major problems. attempt to update your BIOS; the Armory Crate issue may arise, but proceed cautiously to avoid power loss. if your motherboard is at risk of being bricked, installing fresh Windows might resolve the issues. if you're comfortable, reach out to Microsoft—these problems often occur with Windows 11.
Malwarebytes didn<|pad|> a threat detected, and Windows remains activated. I noticed the same warning about Photoshop appearing recently, indicating this isn't solely related to Armory Crate. I’d prefer to prevent a full Windows reinstall if possible, so I’ll reach out to Microsoft, though I doubt they’ll offer much help.
I saw a discussion about this subject, and it looks like recent updates to Windows 11 are causing some issues for users. Microsoft has stated they’re working to resolve the problem.
Located the answer finally. MS Support didn’t help much, but a Windows 11 repair guide offered several options, and using the System File Checker was the one that succeeded. Edit – included a link for reference https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-re...indows-11/ Added on August 18, 2024 by Shaade
