I changed my Corsair 4000D to a 5000D because the AIO was preventing access to RAM and connections on my ASUS TUF Z690. Surprisingly, the high-end ports remain fully blocked as shown in the photo. The 5000D leaves room below the top cover, so I separated the fans from the AIO housing—placing them above and below the rad. The only adjustment was flipping the fans to pull instead of push. This seems acceptable; I checked the forum for confirmation, but it looks like the case was built with this layout in mind, considering the gap between the filter and top cover.

Look for reputable makers, Corsair is certainly one of them. Provide specific space requirements for various setups so you can later compare them with your intended components like the rad+fans and motherboard. Simply increasing size doesn’t guarantee compatibility. With what you have now, as long as the alternative solution isn’t causing issues and you don’t mind dust buildup from missing a filter, the pull fans should work. Keep an eye on airflow patterns to be sure. Also note that you’ll need to clean the case interior more frequently because of the lack of a filter.

Absolutely, it can be quite demanding to review all the details and pull information from various sources. Both models received excellent feedback, and most mentioned that a 280 or even a 360 AIO worked perfectly fine. Sometimes you just have to try and see how it goes. Concerning dust, the exhaust area at the top of the case is where the fans are positioned, and many reviews suggest you don’t need filters there as long as you maintain sufficient positive pressure inside. Do you think that’s correct? I’ll likely focus on the red section for the opening.
