Your setup is ready with downloads in the hidden folder. The upgrade assistant says no driver problems are expected. Upgrading from Windows 7 to 8 on release day worked well for me, though an OEM machine might behave differently. Some users are switching right away, others wait for bugs to resolve.
I think I'll try it tomorrow, but I'll look at the forum first to see if others are facing issues before installing.
Unless I’m making significant changes on my primary machine, I’ll upgrade as soon as it’s possible so I can start using it. I’ll make sure to save almost all of my data just in case something happens.
I’m leaving my buggy in Windows 8 before I end up with a laptop. I don’t mind the dangers. I need to go.
Well guess I'll take the risk. I am planning the same thing, going to see if there are any hiccups with installation. I kind of want to, heard there was a day one patch to stream line issues. Yeah, 100% definitely need to back up, although, I don't actually keep anything important on the machine except games, everything else is either on my external or the cloud. Immediate jump for you, keep an eye out on what others will think tomorrow if you can. Windows 8 wasn't that bad, I just replaced the horrible start screen with a third party.
