Hi there, I just upgraded to a 3800x on an Asus ROG STRIX B550-I gaming board and noticed some temperature readings that worry me. For cooling, I use a Corsair H110i GTX and monitoring via Corsair Link and HWMonitor shows idle temps between 80-90°C. I’ve checked the thermal paste and reattached the cooler to confirm good contact, but the problem persists. On my previous 6700k model, temperatures were reported per core, not as individual readings. Now it seems all data comes from a single group. Has anyone else experienced this with this board? It might be that the motherboard is only showing VRM temps instead of detailed per-core data. Also, package temps are in the mid-40s to low 50s at idle—does that sound typical? With 7nm chips, they can heat up quickly before the IHS or cooler can handle it. Any advice would be appreciated!

Verify temperatures using HWiNFO64 or Ryzen Master. Update your BIOS and chipset drivers. If you're still using the same Windows version as before, consider a complete OS reinstall.
