Microsoft assistance seems ineffective. I returned my motherboard because something was wrong, but Windows has been disabled and I can’t reactivate it. Support didn’t help—troubleshooting failed, and community forums offered no solution. I don’t want to reinstall Windows, but I’m unsure how to get it back online. The board I sent back is an Asrock AB350 Pro 4, and I’m trying to use Windows 10.

Activation for Windows 10 depends on your motherboard. The quickest method is usually reinstalling the operating system.

The question remains unclear—swapping boards might not trigger any effect.

It could happen if the lock connected to the main board was removed, making it possible to use it again.

Do you possess retail or OEM keys? Have you attempted contacting Microsoft? Reinstalling likely won’t resolve the issue; activation will still be required.
