I recently replaced my motherboard and CPU, and restored Windows 10 using a Windows 8.1 key. I’m wondering if I can repeat the process for a fresh install since my computer is behaving oddly. I’d like to avoid digging through issues and would really appreciate clear instructions on securely wiping all drives before reinstalling. Thanks in advance for your help!

Connect the key to your MS account (Windows handles this automatically when you log in). For a clean installation, choose the reset option in the settings and pick the wipe-all choice.

The account is connected to the key you think I have (if not I’ve got it here). I ran a factory reset, but the Memory_management error persists, along with a few other issues like occasional "Aww Snap" problems in Google Chrome. It’s really frustrating.

You aim to erase every storage device. The sole target should be the system drive for a fresh setup. Results won’t change—your issues might stem from physical components.
