I just began playing RDR2, but the game doesn't produce any sounds. Only when you start the game and observe the 2 shotgun shells being loaded and fired is there any audio. After that, no sound at all—no menu sounds, no voice, no environmental noises. This bothers me because I had to wait about an hour just to decrypt it first.

Verify your audio equipment in the settings; both your PC setup and laptop started the game without issues.
Are you using a sound card, DAC, or built-in speakers?

I've chosen the correct option.
The onboard audio is the Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless headset.

I rebooted my PC, restored RDR2, and initially there was no audio, but later random game sounds appeared—looks genuine.
