Hey there! I own a Razer Blade 2018 base model with an i7-8750H processor, GTX 1060 Max-Q, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 256GB SSD plus a 2TB HDD. It worked great before; after sitting for some time, I opened it and everything functioned normally. However, when launching any game, performance drops drastically—slow loading, laggy menus, and even basic actions like clicking the exit button take several seconds. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling Windows, downgrading to Windows 10, formatting both drives, reinstalling drivers, and switching the games to run on the SSD, but nothing improves. It runs fine with non-game apps and performs well in benchmarks, yet struggles in games with terrible input lag and low frame rates, even for lighter titles like Among Us. If anyone has any tips or solutions, let me know! *By the way, checking Task Manager during gameplay shows normal usage, so something else must be going on.*

Checking if the system uses the GTX card or IGPU is the initial step. Comparing performance under both power settings is also important.

Previously relied on IGPU settings, but changed to DGPU via NVIDA Control Panel. No noticeable improvement for gaming performance. Functioning similarly in battery and power mode; still unsatisfactory for games, but acceptable for general tasks.

That seems odd... reviewing the Windows power options now reveals they match the recommended settings for optimal performance.

Certainly, the power configurations are within expected ranges.
