Anvia in Finland offers 10 Mb/s down and 2 Mb/s up. Performance is 10.8 Mb/s down and 1.6 Mb/s up, with a latency of 5 ms. No issues reported; speeds are better than expected. I’m interested in fiber for lower latency and faster connections. I live outside a town, about 2 km away, and the monthly cost is 35 €.
ISP details: Telenet plan offers 150Mbps down and 5Mbps up. Actual performance is around 143Mbps down and 4.7Mbps up. Rating is 3.5 out of 5. Upload speeds are much slower than download, and all ports up to 1023 are restricted. The data cap varies between 250GB and 1250GB based on usage timing. Latency stays acceptable at over 10ms.

ISP Name: Comcast/Xfinity Plan: 50 down 10 up Actual: 40 down 10 up Rating: 4 for speed 0 for tech support They increased our internet from 25 to 50mb per second for free, but it needed a specific modem version. The setup went wrong, causing delays and service loss. After three months, we still can't access their voice webpage for logs or voicemail. Our connection is stable otherwise. Not using their DNS might be the reason. Don’t worry about the cost—I’m stuck in a bundle and would pay more if I had to.
ISP Name: iiNet (Australia)
Expected Speed: No guarantee
Actual Speed: 4.7 Mbps down, 0.8 Mbps up
Rating: 4.5 – Good customer service, but slow connections due to 4 km cable length from exchange and common VoIP/Internet interruptions. Fibre is on the way, promising gigabit down and 400 Mbps up by year-end.
