so this is a build I’ve made myself based on comments I’ve received in the past plus knowledge from the kind people of tom hardware and YouTube videos. My key goals with this is a capable 1440p gaming rig I’m leaning more towards gpus such as the latest b580 or any amd gpu that’s capable of 1440p as for the cpu I’d prefer that not to be changed as I’d prefer my motherboard to stick with am4 as it has better chances for future “proofablility” if that’s even a word and as for the ram sticks I’m okay with going a bit more lower profile if need be. (And if possible to make a majority of the parts come from amazon and lower in price and again idm if parts are picked from separate websites).
And thank you wonderful people for your support so far

I don't think an extra WiFi card is necessary when you can choose a motherboard that already includes WiFi functionality. You should consider a 2x DDR4-3600MHz tight latency RAM set to fully utilize your Ryzen AM4 B550 platform. You were reminded in another discussion a month ago about a build idea—this one comes from frustration and is intended to share my experience. It focuses on the knowledge I've collected over time through YouTube videos and guidance from other communities (my main goals are 1440p gaming, a budget between £800 and £1000, or similar forums). Forums. also mentions that some drives aren't suitable, so I recommend adding a smaller SSD for your OS, apps, and game launchers, while keeping the larger drive for your game library. You haven't specified a budget, but the link above would help determine your location. Please include details in your thread about what you need. *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* – This post is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* idea. I’d likely keep the RAM at 3200 and the 3D cache hides the slower RAM speed nicely. Based on budget, I’d aim to align the 7800 GPU with the build. The 7600 GPU won’t maximize performance from the selected CPU.

AM4 is struggling now. It really needs replacement for new projects. Still, as a cost-effective choice, it’s a solid platform. All trusted board makers have used it for years, so issues should be minimal.

AM5 650 boards are a good value right now. A 7000 series processor paired with 7600x, 7800x, or x3d would work if budget permits. A 9000 series chip might also deliver strong results. The AM5 platform supports future upgrades, whereas AM4 is unlikely to.

It's remarkable how many individuals are eager to assemble a PC from scratch using the AM4 platform. What draws them in is the enduring appeal of AMD's long-standing platforms, but some are simply looking for options that have already reached their end of life?

Hello, just wanted to mention that I didn’t add a WiFi card since I already had one on the earlier PC. For my last post, I shared it again because I adjusted some of my thoughts on what I’m aiming for.

AM4 is no longer supported, leaving no upgrade options. All recent releases from AMD on AM4 are now Zen3, which behaves differently from the original design. The Kingston NV2 SSD is extremely poor.

I was wondering if you prefer the Ryzen 5 7000 series or the Ryzen 7 7000 series. Thanks for the tip—prices have dropped a lot!

Hi, thank you. I've changed the motherboard to a B650 for the Kingston SSD, which is the one I'm currently using in my build. Could you share some good suggestions? Preferably ones that are similar in price or even cheaper?
