Tried Motion Eye but it isn’t compatible with the Pi5. Got any suggestions for alternatives? I’m just starting with Linux and this is mostly about experimenting.

Sure thing, buddy. You were trying three different settings and the performance looked shaky—maybe a little tweak could help. You're aiming for smooth movement, around 1 FPS, which is decent but not top speed.

I switched back to the Pi3 and thought about having fewer sources now. I’m curious about exploring network webcams that send data back to this single Pi. This is just some playful stuff with bits and bobs—something I already have a reason to choose Pi for. Now I’d like to look into network cameras too.
