Win 10
Gigabyte of megabytes.
Not exactly random, right?
When I turn on the PC in the morning, it runs for five minutes before shutting down.
I unplug the switch at the back... wait 30 minutes, then restart.
It stays on for about 40 minutes before turning off again.
Sometimes I restart after that and it stays on all day, then shuts down at night.
My guess is it's related to the MB or PSU.
The PC is 15 years old, but it works fine when it does.
I’m wondering if there are any tools that can check for issues with the PSU or MB?
I’d consider replacing either.

PSU replacement is necessary. Regardless of the PSU model, it should never be used continuously for 15 years. Without complete system details, I can't recommend the exact wattage, but suitable options include Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, and Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium. (My three PCs are also powered by Seasonic. I own two PRIME TX-650 units and one Focus PX-550. Full specs with photos are available in my profile.)

Do you know if there are tools that can distinguish between MB and PSU? I plan to swap out the PSU during a weekend experiment.

Certainly. Here is the rewritten version:

No such software confirmed. For PSUs, testing gear exists but costs around $3000, while proper configuration would require about $10,000. Regarding MoBo, the only way to verify it is by using all other components that are known to function, such as CPU, RAM, PSU, GPU, SSD/HDD. If replacing these with compatible alternatives still causes issues, then the problem likely lies with the original component in the build.
