Hello, I'm trying to improve my Fortnite ping which was around 55-70. I checked my router settings and found that my firewall was set high. After adjusting it, my ping dropped to 27-40 for the whole day. The next day, without changing any settings (even though it auto-set), I got the same ping range of 55-70. I have a 24 Mbps connection via ADSL and only use Ethernet. My PC is the only device connected to the internet when I check ping. Also, the game is whitelisted in my antivirus. What could be causing this issue?

You've optimized your connection with Ethernet, which usually handles most of the latency issues. The remaining ping depends mainly on your ISP and where you are compared to the servers. Even at lower numbers like 100 or 150, it's generally not a big deal.

It's understandable, but your concern is valid. A low ping can really impact gameplay, especially in Fortnite where even small differences matter. A drop to 30 ping versus 60 ping can make a big difference in performance. Lower ping helps you react faster and avoid getting caught off guard by enemies.

Depends mainly on server activity and your ISP's capacity. The only reliable option is a dedicated connection that ensures consistent performance.
