Hi, I'm facing some problems with my partner's PC after moving it recently. It was unplugged, moved, and then plugged back in. When it turned on briefly, it lit up for a moment before shutting off. After turning it on again, a loud popping sound occurred, leading me to suspect an issue with the power supply unit. I've since replaced the PSU, but other problems persist. The CPU debug LED stays on, and it won't boot normally until I press the reset button, after which it works fine. Windows boots properly, temperatures are normal, and even a quick game launch functioned correctly. Occasionally, the boot debug LED also lights up. Another concern is that the fan sensors aren't detected in HWMonitor or FanControl, and the 2x case fans and CPU fan aren't showing up.

Here are the specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 3600mhz
GPU: 3060 Ti
Storage: Samsung 1TB nvme
PSU: Be quiet 850w gold

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You mentioned needing to change the PSU—what was the model and age of the previous one? It seems you didn’t include the motherboard’s make and model. Also, did you connect the fans to the motherboard? That might mean the board is no longer functioning properly.

Thanks for the update. The previous power supply was a thermaltake 850w gold, matching the build's age and lasting over two years. The motherboard is a Gigabyte Aorus Elite V1. I suspected the old PSU might have affected it, possibly causing fan-related problems. It seems unusual that after booting, the main issue is with the fans. If the problem persists, what steps should I take to replace the board or buy a new one?
