I've noticed my mouse freezing unexpectedly on the screen, especially during games or while browsing. It only happens occasionally and seems to reset when I disconnect and reconnect it from the USB port. I've tried several fixes: adjusting power plan to high, testing all USB ports, disabling USB selective suspend, turning off power management for USB devices, and even reinstalling drivers multiple times. No luck so far. I'm considering a hardware upgrade but want to explore all options first. Any suggestions or insights? Edit: I've also attempted to reset and reinstall the mouse drivers repeatedly.
Have you attempted to remove and reinstall the mouse drivers? That seems like the most viable option I've considered so far, though I'm not sure if you've tried it.
Update your mouse firmware and consider reinstalling the chipset drivers. You might also run SFC and DISM scans for repairs. Also, check if you experience extended intervals before restarting the system.
What model is this mouse? Does it come with RGB or other unique capabilities? Are you operating the device through the built-in software or a separate application? I encountered a comparable problem caused by the software; clearing it and using the default resolved it. After updating, it felt improved. If you're managing its settings, try turning it off or removing the software and see if that helps. If not, check the USB driver or a faulty connection, though this is uncommon.
I've got both a Razer Chroma DeathAdder and a DeathAdder 2013, but they keep disconnecting. I've removed the Razer software that manages the RGB and DPI settings, yet it still doesn't work.
