Random freezing and audio delays

My computer occasionally freezes, the cursor stops moving, the screen freezes, and audio slows down. RGB lights on RAM behave oddly at those moments, and it only lasts a few seconds. I've tried updating drivers, fixing corrupted files, but nothing resolves the issue. The machine is around four years old—could there be a problem with its components?

Have you checked if the BIOS was updated? I faced a similar issue with my system last week, and updating the BIOS made a big difference (since many ASUS boards come with faulty BIOS). If that doesn’t help, you may need quicker RAM.

I haven't changed my profile yet; the last update was in 2018. I just made the change and am hoping everything is okay. The lag still occurs unexpectedly, making it hard to confirm if it's fixed. I had to wait a few days before checking again. Appreciate you reminding me about the bio update.

It occurred once more, I’m unsure what’s causing it. When it happens, my CPU produces unusual grinding sounds, the screen freezes, and the audio stutters briefly.
