Random error detected during startup.
Hi! I just assembled a PC for my sister and tried to troubleshoot it myself. In the past few months, the screen has been showing a blue error, starting with a bright blue display and now becoming more transparent. The error code reads WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. I’ve gathered all the necessary parts from Amazon and other trusted brands (see scan link). I also have several dump files available.
I’ve already tried the following steps:
- Updated and reinstalled Windows 11
- Ran memory tests on RAM modules
- Turned off any overclocking in BIOS
- Updated the BIOS
- Reinstalled chipset drivers for the motherboard
- Reinstalled GPU drivers
- Performed a stress test using prime95
- Pressed the CPU for an hour without any BSOD, and even ran Red Dead Redemption and a couple of games briefly afterward without issues.
Any advice or assistance would be really helpful.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Through WinDBG I notice this appears in 4 of your .dmp files;
AuthenticAMD.sys
this
nvlddmkm.sys
was one of the 4 .dmp files.
Where did you obtain the installer for Windows 11? What is the model and manufacturer of your motherboard? BIOS version for your motherboard?
I made a Windows 11 USB from my own Windows 11 PC using the official tool. The motherboard is an ASUS Prime B450M-A II Micro ATX AM4. The BIOS version is 4604, and I downloaded this version from ASUS' website - it should be up to date since I installed it yesterday.
